District of Elkford Advisory Committees

The District of Elkford currently has four (4) Advisory Committees:

Urban Wildlife Management Advisory Committee

The Urban Wildlife Management Advisory Committee examines issues related to urban wildlife within the boundaries of the District of Elkford and provides advisory services to Council related to these issues.
Citizens' Advisory Committee

The Citizens' Advisory Committee provides citizen ambassadors the opportunity to advise the District on the implementation of the Official Community Plan (OCP) and to monitor the District’s progress in achieving the objectives of the OCP. The Committee works collaboratively with the District of create a multifaceted approach to implementing the OCP.

Tourism Advisory Committee

The Tourism Advisory Committee examines issues related to improving tourism opportunities that will assist Elkford in becoming a sustainable and vibrant community. This committee focuses on the development and implementation of tourism strategies, and works to develop a vibrant and welcoming tourism industry. The Committee works collaboratively with the District of Elkford to create a multifaceted approach to strengthen tourism.
