Volunteer Appreciation Event

Once per year, Elkford gathers to recognize some of the outstanding volunteers who help our community thrive. This event includes the recognition and introduction of the Citizen of the Year, a speech delivered by the mayor, a luncheon and social, as well as family entertainment.

Date:     Saturday, April 30, 2022

Times:   

  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Join us for the ceremony and a complimentary lunch at Elkford’s Meeting Place (between the Community Conference Centre and District of Elkford Office at 750 and 744 Fording Drive). The backup location, in case of inclement weather, will be in Teck Hall, in the Community Conference Centre (750 Fording Drive).
  • 2 to 4 p.m. Free swim at the Elkford Aquatic Centre

With COVID-19 health orders and provincial restrictions easing, we’re delighted to hold this event again. Please note that any restrictions or health orders in place on the date of this event will be adhered to.
