Volunteer Opportunity: Junior Youth Councillor

 

Are you a grade eight, nine or 10 student at Elkford Secondary School who wants to add an amazing volunteer experience to your resume? Good news: the deadline to apply as a Junior Youth Councillor for the District of Elkford has been extended!

Council has officially appointed a Senior Youth Councillor from the first round of applicants (stay tuned for the introduction), but the Junior Youth Councillor seat has not been filled, so we’re looking for one more enthusiastic and self-motivated youth representative to attend meetings and events and provide a voice for the youth of our community.

Requirements for Junior Youth Councillor:

  • Be a resident of Elkford
  • Be a grade eight, nine or 10 student enrolled at Elkford Secondary School
  • Be willing to attend council meetings and District events and regional events and meetings as requested

 

Ready to apply? Submit your cover letter and resume by November 26, 2024, at 4 p.m. to the Director of Corporate Services at info@elkford.ca or in-person by visiting us at the District Office at 744 Fording Drive.
