DEADLINE EXTENDED: Volunteer Opportunity for Youth Councillor

Are you a student at Elkford Secondary School who wants to add an amazing volunteer experience to your resume? Good news: the deadline to apply as a Youth Councillor for the District of Elkford has been extended!

Council has officially appointed a Senior Youth Councillor from the first round of applicants, but the Junior Youth Councillor seat has not been filled, so we’re looking for one more enthusiastic and self-motivated youth representative to attend meetings and events and provide a voice for the youth of our community.

Note that a second Senior Youth Councillor will be considered if no junior applicants meet the requirements, so we encourage both juniors and seniors to apply!

Requirements for Junior Youth Councillor:

• Be a resident of Elkford
• Be a grade nine or 10 student enrolled at Elkford Secondary School
• Be willing to attend council meetings and District events and regional events and meetings as requested

Requirements for Senior Youth Councillor:

• Be a resident of Elkford
• Be a grade 11 or 12 student enrolled at Elkford Secondary School
• Be willing to attend council meetings and District events and regional events and meetings as requested
