DISTRICT OF ELKFORD PUBLIC NOTICE:

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE UNDER A PARTNERING AGREEMENT, ELKFORD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Pursuant to Sections 24 and 94 of the Community Charter, notice is hereby given that the District of Elkford intends to provide assistance to the Elkford Chamber of Commerce under the terms of a Partnering Agreement.

Term of Agreement: September 15, 2023, to September 15, 2024

Nature of Agreement: The District intends to provide assistance to the Chamber of Commerce in the form of:

• A financial contribution equivalent to 50 percent of the total business licence revenue (excluding Inter-Community Business Licences) received by the District during the term, at an approximate value of $9000
• In-kind use of District facilities at an approximate value of $16,111 during the term

The Chamber agrees to operate a co-working office and flexible retail hub at 816-A Michel Road and to provide, encourage and stimulate Elkford’s economic development initiatives throughout the term of the Agreement.
