Submit Your Photos: Show us What you Love Most About Elkford!

What do you love most about Elkford? We’re inviting everyone in Elkford to submit photos of what you love most about our community! This could be photos of beautiful landscapes, wildlife, family, friends gathering, community events, outdoor sports—or whatever it is you love most about calling Elkford your home!

Images that are accepted may be used as part of our Official Community Plan update process, as well as featured within the Official Community Plan document itself (learn more at www.elkford.ca/elkforward). Additionally, we may share them via our social media networks, on our website, within newsletters and other District of Elkford printed materials, with an image attribution (photographer byline).

Here’s how to submit your photos:

Send us up to three of your best photos, showcasing what you love most about Elkford, to info@elkford.ca with “Photo Submission” as the subject line. Please only submit photos that you have personally taken, include your name (as the photographer), ensure your files are sent in .jpeg or .png formats and are a minimum of 1024 x 768 pixels (or 1 Mb in size). After emailing your photo submissions, we’d encourage you to share them in the comments of our Facebook post too!

Now for the fine print:

Submissions are not guaranteed for feature or publication. By submitting photos to the District of Elkford, you are stipulating to us that you own copyright to these photographs, and you are granting the District of Elkford a non-exclusive licence to use the photograph in its submitted form, subject to re-sizing to fit format, for publication without monetary compensation. Wherever the photograph may be used, every attempt will be made to include an image attribution that credits the photographer.
